Dappy-Yin Yang:
Use of costume: During this music video there was around 4 costume changes. The use of the costume was very effective as the costume was changed to the same one repeatedly when chorus was being sung out. The very slick change of costume was very effective as it suited the setting and location. The lyrics also suited the setting and location and matches the music video very well. There was only 2 locations used which suited the music video and genre very well. The genre of the music video was Hip Hop. The location suited the costume as Dappy the artist was wearing t-shirts and colourful clothing that suited the warm environment/setting and location. The setting and location does not link to the genre as hip hop commonly would be in a club or rave etc. However this is very unique as it is based in a jungle/beach.
Katy Perry- Roar
There was only 2 costume changes in this music video. Not having a lot of costume changes in this music video was very effected as it suited the mise-en-scene and the content of the music video. The costume linked back to the verses and costume as Katy the artist was wearing a tiger skinned bra. This suited the music video very well. The costume linked to the genre as the genre in this music video was pop and the costumes were very colourful which made it obvious to the audiences that this music video is pop. Similar to the other video the music video does not link to the genre as yet again the location is in a jungle which isn't normally used in a pop genre.
Ellie Goulding-Burn
The genre of this music video is Pop/Electro/Dance. This music video is a combination of 3 different genres. There no costume change as the Ellie was wearing the same clothes throughout the whole music video and seemed to be the narrator in the music video. When the chorus was being sung out it cut back to Ellie showing hear simple all black clothes. There was many locations but the important one was on a airport run way.
